Since in the last two posts i have talked a lot about what naturopathy is basically about ,now slowly i would like to draw your attention to various natural treatments used in naturopathy to cure and prevent various diseases.although it is a little cumbersome and requires a little effort on ones part ,the good thing about it is that it is 100% natural with no side effects it is also very affordable .and i think in todays times when people are becoming more and more aware of their fitness and lifestyle it is very important to know about such a field of treatment which not only helps you to cure your diseases but also helps to increase your immunity against various problems.
when i started following naturopathy my issue was not to address a particular health problem, but to become more aware of my body . we all have basic knowledge of various systems in our body like the digestive system,the excretory system but have we ever thought that how this practically happens inside our body and how we can ensure that these systems work together to ensure that we are completely healthy.
we all know that the food we eat gives us energy but it is important to know that all of us have different nutritional requirements which depends on our age ,nature of work, where we live ,weather of that place and the local foods . what we don't realize is that wrong eating habits can actually do more harm than benefit.
here it is also necessary to talk about the importance of physical activity or exercise like when an item is kept unused for a long time it rusts or gets spoilt similarly if we don't give our body sufficient movement it will become stiff
last but not the least it is important to learn about various natural treatments that we can use to cure our problems.naturopathy is a very vast topic so we will slowly try to cover all these one by one .any confusion shall be cleared which will make more and more confident to handle most of our health issues on our own .naturopathy encourages us to strike a balance between our food,exercise namely yoga and adopting various natural ways and therapies to treat ourselves.
to access ourselves first it is important to note down about certain things like daily schedule or routine , time table , age, nature of work , eating habits ,physical work ,family history of any disease and slowly as we know more about naturopathy and comparatively study our lifestyle we can easily point out to the cause of our problem.
today i am going to talk about one of very important therapies of naturothrapy
MUD THERAPY
as the famous saying goes that our body is made of mud / soil and in the end will dissolve in soil itself .mud digests all the excretions ,waste and dirt of the world and yet remains pure itself excretions buried underground assimilate and become one with the mud after a few days .we have
oftn seen our elders using multani mitt or fullers arty for beauty purpose .
HEALING QUALITIES OF MUD
1) it has power to extract poison
2) has the capacity to extract toxins from the body
3) acts as a pain killer and deodorant
4)has magnetic force which gives vigor and strength.
5)it scratches oldest of faeces stored in the body .
6)relieves swelling ,boils ,pain and perforations in the skin
7) removes burning sensation from the skin
8)gives coolness to the body .
9)extracts extra heat .
VARIOUS FORMS OF USES OF MUD
1)sleeping in mud - effective for insomnia ,nervous weakness and blood poisoning .
2)mud massage -by massaging and applying mud on the body , harmful air and poisonous elements are removed
3) mud bath -instead of soap if mud is applied it removes all diseases.
4)walking bare foot on mud -this helps in kidney ailments ,improves eyesight and increases magnetic power.
5) mud pack-it is very important in naturopathy and used against many diseases.in all ailments of the abdomen it is very important.
it is used on lower abdomen,chest ,forehead ,eyes ,head ,spine ,throat ,feet, anus and wherever needed.
SELECTION OF MUD
could be of any type but should have been taken from a neat and clean place ,exposed to sundays , extracted from 2, 2.5 feet below ground .mud should be dried in sunlight and sieved before use . mud from termites hill is extremely effective, for bathing and head bath multani mitti or fullers earth is extremely useful.
dealing with mud can be cumbersome but when we go to spas or naturopathy centers same treatment is followed . if you want the treatment professionally this will help you to learn more about it otherwise you can also do it on your own at the comfort of your own home and at a convenient time that suits you .
however the quality of mud to be used is extremely important . if you cannot dig the mud out from 2,2.5 mts underground and sieve it yourself .it is easily available at various naturopathy clinic easily.
HOW TO MAKE MUDPACK
-mud should be ground , sieved and soaked in clean water 12 hrs. before use at the time of use spread half an inch of layer of this wet paste of mud on thin cloth and put it on the spot where required ,then cover it with a woolen cloth .it should be kept for 20-30min or else the toxins extracted would re enter the body once used the mud should not be reused

It is very important to note here that this stream of naturopathy is extremely useful and informative for people who have not studied science as their main subject but are curious to know more about their body.whenever we ares struck with some medical problem we have to be completely dependent on doctor and are unable to understand what went wrong but by knowing more and more about our body and its functioning we can be self dependent .
